I often write about the potential of a professional entrepreneur. The marketplace needs this (public and private). Today I invite you to imagine a train trip. If you prefer to add an epic scene to the trip, go ahead.

You have prepared your luggage and are headed towards the train station, but for some reason you arrive late to the boarding platform and, with regret you see the cars lined up in the distance becoming increasingly smaller as they moved away.  You missed the trip. Now what?

I often say that some opportunities come knocking at the door and others are created by YOU. But we do not have control of everything and, from this perspective, yes, we might miss some interesting chances. That’s what I want to talk about. Assuming that whoever is reading this text prefers to anticipate trends rather than being caught by surprise, I realize that some situations are similar to the train and another chances to “travel”may be on the way. It is essential that patience and punctuality are maintained. Never be discouraged if, for some reason, that deal or long-held dream of professional development is delayed.

But be careful: never put off till tomorrow what can be done today. Initiatives are part of progress. The itinerary of the “train of opportunity” can be changed or canceled without notice. If you missed out on your chance now, I suggest you take action and board the next train before it’s too late!

Want to share your experiences? Feel free. I’m ready to listen!
